Subject: returning the favor to big brother
My brother turned me on to the Dead when I was just a wee teenager and wanted to return the favor so I turned him on to Phil & friends at this show. He had gone to shows from the mid 80's until the early nineties(I think Vegas 92 was his last). Needless to say it blew him away to the point that he said he never heard the Dead play so good at any show he ever went to. What a great way to celebrate the 4th. Great weather, great company, a nice opening set by Moe. and some fantastic jamming by Phil and crew. Our smartest move was heading out during the encore to catch the bus to the parking lot down the mountain. We could hear Dancin as we stood in line and made it on the first round of buses just as it ended. I feel for all the poor souls that had to wait up to an hour just to get to their cars but I'm sure if you asked any of them, they would say it was worth it! :)

Subject: Hey it cold in the MTNs
On the rail and I remember thinking this music is not making any sense, wirling around inside of my head but at the same time it made total sense not to big of a crowd but hell traffic Prefunked at the Infamous Glider's house......

I was lucky enough to attend this show. With a .moe opener and fabulous NW weather we were all psyched to be at this little used and now closed venue. Phil played wonderfully with the most amazing Viola I've ever heard live or taped. Please listen closely...he's seriously tuning in another planet. The whole place freaked out. I love this music.
